Creativity, Tech, and Cards!

We’re having a great time at Robert Yick Company, and we wanted to share what we’ve been doing. In the past year, we built equipment for some of the bay area’s best TECH companies, such as: Google, Zynga, Twitter, and VMware Fusion. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed these industrial-technology collaborations — what a fun partnership between manufacturing & new technology!

We also ordered some fun new BUSINESS CARDS… and we LOVE them! Here’s the great part: the cards are mini-sized and feature various fantastic pictures by JD Yick. Stop by our shop at 261 Bayshore Boulevard (San Francisco 94124) and pick one up for yourself.

We’re getting tech savvy! After doing work for Twitter, VMware, and Google offices, it’s about time we embrace the web. Robert Yick Company now has a Twitter, where we post tidbits about restaurants, pictures of delicious food, and updates on current projects. We’re also starting to make  videos!

But since we’re doing this for you guys… we wanted to get your feedback. What types of videos, blog posts, and twitter updates do you find the most helpful or interesting (i.e. How-to tips, new restaurant openings, fun images)? Leave a comment or shoot us an email to:

Teaming up with Twitter

Robert Yick Company built stainless steel counters for the Twitter office in San Francisco (pictures below). We made several types of custom counters, including:

  • a 13-foot landing area with a sink (used as a coffee station)
  • a 15-foot island (lunchroom counter)
  • an ‘L’ shaped counter

After working with Twitter, we became inspired to start our own Twitter account! Check out @yickcompany on Twitter and follow us for updates!

Here are photos of the Twitter counter during its installation. The plastic coating protects the stainless steel from scratches and damage.
