Now Open: Heaven’s Dog
In January 2009, Charles Phan opened his latest culinary venture – Heaven’s Dog – on the ground floor of the SOMA Grand building. Phan, the owner and executive chef of San Francisco’s beloved Vietnamese restaurant The Slanted Door, collaborated with chef Andy Wai to create a menu dedicated to “Northern Chinese cuisine.” Heaven’s Dog divides the space into three areas: a noodle bar, a full bar & lounge, and the main restaurant. Creative cocktails aptly complement the Chinese dishes, which are made with organic vegetables and local meats.
Robert Yick Company built custom equipment for the kitchen, bar, and dishwashing areas. For food preparation, Robert Yick Company fabricated: wok ranges, commercial hoods, chef preparation tables, shelves, and pasta pots. In addition, Robert Yick Company built sinks, shelves, and other stainless steel equipment for the dishwashing and cleanup area. We also bought and installed refrigeration, fryers, stoves and ice machines. View photos below
Heaven’s Dog is located at 1148 Mission Street (inside the Soma Grand), San Francisco. For more information, visit www.heavensdog.com
